12月10日,在美国加州留学的韩国少女安妮,在一家全球知名的连锁咖啡店,与同样来自韩国的肖恩用韩文聊天。期间旁边一名白人妇人对着他们说:“这里是美国,只能讲英文”、“很恶心”...等不文雅话语。店员也多次请妇人离开但不肯罢休,最终被警方人员带走。视频来自|网友拍摄肖恩是安妮的老师,两人10号当天在星巴克用韩文讨论学习上的事情。正当安妮起身准备向服务台拿咖啡时,一名在旁边用电脑的白人妇人大向她喊:“这里是美国,只允许用英文”、“特别是东方的…我非常讨厌”。两人十分错愕并说:“每个人都有自由说任何语言”。妇人反驳说:“你知道吗,总统奥巴马说过这里所有的人、大部分在美国的人都应该说英文…你的语言很恶心”。星巴克店员注意到妇人的言行,见状便走近提醒她说:“顾客可以说他们喜欢的任何语言”。不过妇人仍然坚持:“如果你们能静静的就没问题,但我不想再听到你的语言。”后来,有3名警员接报到达现场,最终将妇人带走。事发后,肖恩在facebook 上表达:在奉行“多元化”的美国西岸,人们有时忘记了种族歧视及反移民情绪其实仍然存在。安妮则说当时警员到场后,那位妇人还不断碎碎念他们讲韩文很难听:“真希望没有任何移民或留学生需要经历这么糟糕的事情”。-----------------------------------
